A Family Tradition Since 2013

Johnny D’s Market & Bistro opened its doors in 2013, but our story goes back much further. Owners and siblings Mario Amelio and Nina Amelio have been working side by side in the restaurant business for over 30 years, carrying forward a family tradition of hospitality and good food.

From the very beginning, Mario brought his creativity to the kitchen, crafting the recipes and menu items that define Johnny D’s today. Nina has always been the heart of the front of the house, overseeing the guest experience and the business side of operations. Together, they form the perfect balance of culinary passion and welcoming service.

A Legacy from Italy
Our roots trace back to our father, who immigrated from Italy and built his life in restaurants across New York, New Jersey, and Florida. His love for food, family, and community inspired us to follow in his footsteps, and Johnny D’s continues that tradition every day.
